The oral surgery department has made many breakthroughs on artificial implants and orthognathic surgery since its inception over 10 years ago. Each year, we do at least 60 cases of autologous bone (ilium, tibia or chin bone) transplantation to help with alveolar ridge reconstruction associated with artificial implants (including sinus augmentation, etc.) or repair of jaw defects after focal excision. Also, we do at least 100 cases of complex artificial implants and 30 cases of orthognathic surgery each year. These records are the best among central Taiwan medical centers.

Other cases are also increasing steadily year by year, such as oral cancer, jaw facial trauma, salivary gland disease and temporomandibular joint disease.

Our children's dentistry serves patients aged 0 to 18. The types of services include oral examination for infants and toddlers, regular fluoride coating, oral health advice and counseling on children's behavior, operative dentistry, root canal treatment of deciduous teeth, deciduous teeth sets operation, permanent tooth gap filling, deciduous teeth and adolescent permanent tooth trauma treatment, children and adolescent orthodontic treatment.

In addition to out-patient treatments, we also do full-mouth reconstruction under general anesthesia. We offer medical advice, oral care and treatment for special children with conditions like developmental delay, congenital and hereditary diseases and cancer.

To provide well-rounded dental care, we cooperate with other specialists in root canal therapy, oral/maxillofacial surgery, pediatric hematology/oncology, pediatric genetics, pediatric cardiology, child development and behavior, and children's rehabilitation.

Because the situation inside the root canal can not be observed with the naked eye, so we must use a microscope to make correct diagnosis and accurate treatment.

Endodontic microsurgery includes root canal re-treatment to remove old filler, treatment of calcified root canal, removal of endodontic needle, and root canal perforation.

Family dentistry

Family dentistry includes all clinical dentistry, total patient care, preventive dentistry and hospital dentistry.

This is good development of dentistry. It is family-based, prevention-oriented and based on holistic medical philosophy. It improves basic medical care and will develop into new medical fields and train professional medical teams. It is apparently different from dentistry’s business model in the past.

Periodontal dentistry

The main task of periodontal dentistry is the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease in order to improve overall oral health, beauty and reconstruction of dental functions.

Periodontal disease clinical diagnosis and treatment services include: dental calculus removal, traditional non-surgical and surgical treatment, laser treatment and application, periodontal regeneration, periodontal beautification, gingival transplantation, and artificial implant reconstruction.

Periodontal disease treatment solves following disorders: gum inflammation, swollen gums, gingival bleeding, gingival recession, alveolar leakage, fibrous dysplasia, root sensitivity, tooth tearing, teeth slit enlargement, and artificial tooth replacement for patients with tooth loss.

Prosthetic prosthesis

Our prosthesis treatments are roughly divided into the following: 1) single fixed dentures; 2) local fixed dentures; 3) local mobile dentures; 4) full mouth movable dentures; 5) oral cancer patients postoperative reconstruction and occlusion device making; 6) fixed and movable dentures supported by artificial implants; 7) teeth whitening, and so on.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics aims at correcting “crooked” teeth formation to restore the normal function of biting and to achieve aesthetic purposes. Well-aligned teeth are beneficial in many ways: maintenance of oral hygiene, speaking, chewing, pronunciation, gastrointestinal absorption, etc. Beautiful teeth also create social advantages: they enhance self-confidence, have positive influence on interaction with the society, help with the development of personality and the realization of personal dreams. Orthodontics provides a variety of methods to solve the patient's bite dysfunction and appearance problems.

We are equipped with a digital cranial X-ray machine and computer analysis software to help with the diagnosis of patients before, during and after treatment. We are proficient in all kinds of correction: orthodontics surgery, bone grafting in patients with lip-cleft, dental implants, and integrated treatment of periodontal, prosthetic, prosthodontics, or temporomandibular joint disorders.

Temporomandibular disorder is the pain in temporomandibular muscles and the surrounding muscles, Patient with severe symptoms will suffer pain, limited mandible mobility, and difficulty in opening the mouth. Causes for this may be malocclusion, systemic diseases (colds, inflammation, etc.), neck problems, postures, trauma, poor eating habits, or developmental disorders.

Temporal disability can be divided into three categories: 1) joint cavity disorders; 2) muscular problems; 3) mandibular dyskinesia.

Treatments include orthodontic teeth malocclusion, changing poor diet haits, rehabilitation or surgery.

We provide patients with oral examinations, clinical diagnosis, treatment plans, and then treatments.
