Natural Medicine Research Center was officially integrated into the Chinese Medicine Research Development Center, with Kuo-Hsiung Lee as the main leader of research, Yang-Chang Wu as director of the center, and Sheng-Chu Kuo as the Center's Consultant.
Awarded the Ministry of Education's Elite University Project – Chinese Herb Medicine Research Center, with Professor Yang-Chang Wu as host.
Honorable Director Kuo-Hsiung Lee was awarded the “Order of the Rising Sun”
