Doctor Der Yang Chou succeeded as the 4th President. Medical laboratory department passed the American Pathology laboratory verification (CAP-LAP), endocrinology examinations received international verification.
2nd place of “Promotion of Insulin Injective Medical Quality” from Taiwanese Association of Diabetes Educators.
2nd place of “Diabetes Health Promotion Institute” by the Public Health Administration.
Diabetes alliance institutes was awarded “Team Award” for 3 consecutive years.

Awarded the “Professor Lin Rei Xiang Group Award” by the Taiwanese Association of Diabetes Educators.
Awarded 3rd place for “Best Pneumonia Streptococcus Disease Educator Model”.

2007
Cancer Centre Building and Critical Centre Building was officially in operation. Dian 131 Treatment rooms was established, and Thyroid Cancer seminars were held.
Continuous blood monitor system was introduced and insulin pump team was established.
The Division was awarded “Outstanding Diabetes Health Promotion Institute” by the Health Administration. The same year, the division participated in the “Diabetes Education Enhancement” competition and was awarded “outstanding” for the nursing category.
It was awarded “Group Strategy Group Effort” award for Diabetes organizations by the Public Health Administration.
2005
Official launch of the Central Taiwan Science Park clinic and started provide staffs with thyroid gland diagnosis and treatment services.
2004
Doctor Shyh Ching Chiu joined the medical team.
Opened the Taichung City Love Home providing screening tests for metabolism diseases.
Director Ching Chu Chen went to University of Louisville to receive advanced training in Metabolism.
Managed and opened Division of Metabolism at Chua Jia Hospital (Now the China Medical University Hospital East District Hospital) and providing medical care for East District citizens.
2003
China Medical College changed its name to China Medical University Hospital, Taiwan Taichung Prison Affiliated Peide Hospital was officially in operation, and the division of metabolism was established and night shift doctors also provided medical services.
Doctor Wei Lun Huang was promoted to Attending Physician.
In the SARs panic, diabetic and endocrine clinics were opened at China Medical University Hospital Fongyuan Branch to provide constant medical services.

A Integrated Medicine Joint clinic was opened in Huwei, providing medical services for diabetes and thyroid gland diseases.
Doctor Mao Tsu Fuh was appointed Director of the Diabetes Prevention Centre and implemented the electronic diabetes file management system.
Doctor Jin Long Chen joined the medical team. Doctor Tzi Ming Chien was promoted to Attending Physician. In response to diabetic care, accepted the “Diabetes Joint Care Network” trial plan in August.
Assisted in the establishment of Primary Diabetes Care Association, Taichung and held academic seminars and continuously held courses, with regular diabetic case study discussions with Taichung, Kinmen, Taipei medical institutes.
2001
Professor Mao Tsu Fuh joined the medical team. the Clinical Trial Center of Chinese Medicine was established, the Division of Metabolism started joint development of diabetic treatment drugs

The Hyperbaric centre was established and opened courses on self-paid diabetes mellitus foot treatments. Diabetes protection level prevention moved to fundamental levels. The hospital started working with the Department of Family Medicine in holding community clinics. Meide Clinic provides elderly and movement disorder patients with nearby medical care. The Diabetes Centre started developing community health & welfare teaching models, interactive health & welfare teaching models and new diabetes health & welfare procedures.
The hospital was evaluated as a Medical Centre, and the Diabetes Centre was officially established, with focus on the production of health & welfare media materials. In 2001, Doctor Cheng Chieh Lin succeeded as the 3rd president of the hospital. The Diabetes Center started proactive preventative plans and community construction projects.
1999
Launch of the Hospital’s Beigang Branch. Doctor Chih Ming Chien and Tzu-Yuan Wang opened the Division of Metabolism and Diabetes Education. After 921 earthquake, medical services was provided at Zhong Xin Hills and the Nantou Area.
1998

The hospital established the Department of Community Medicine. Diabetic prevention was directed at communities. Diabetes screening was conducted as well as education regarding diabetes. Throid gland disease screening was also conducted.
1997
Official launch of the Meide building, the hospital started using integrated medicine to treat diabetes and other chronic complications. Official launch of the Emergency Medical building (connected to the first medical building) and collaborated with cardio-surgery to screen and provide treatment for peripheral vessels of diabetic patients.
Doctor Tzu-Yuan Wang was promoted to Attending physician. After upgrading to Would-be Medical Center, “Diabetes Class” was evaluated as “Diabetes promotion institutes – Centre level” by the Department of Health and Welfare, Administrative Yuan. The New Non-mydriatic scope was launched, enhancing the quality of visual care.
1995
Chairperson Chang Hai Tsai succeeded as the 2nd President of the Hospital. The third medical building was launched after repair (now demolished, Leefu Medical building was constructed in it’s stead). The “Diabetes Classroom”, Division of Metabolism wards was established. Albuminuria screening tests were conducted for Diabetic nerve and kidney pathological changes.

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance apparatus was installed. The hospital provided more accurate diagnosis tools for hypophysis diseases.

The hospital passed as the region’s teaching hospital and started integrated treatment of endocrine diseases.

Launch of the Chinese and Western Cooperative Medical Center. Trial therapy for Integrated medicine for diabetes.

Launch of the Second Medical building. (today’s Pediatrics Building), Clinic of Metabolism was moved to the Second Medical building, and initiated diabetes services.

The hospital competed the first stage computer installment. Division of Metabolism started to computerized operation.
1983
Ministry of Education valued the hospital as Grade 3 teaching hospital. The hospital started thyroid gland ultrasound examinations on a regular basis.
Establishment of Division of Metabolism, Doctor Chwen Tzuei Chang was appointed the 1st Director. On 01.03, the Hospital signed an agreement with the government Department of Health & Welfare; establishing PCB polychlorinated biphenyl treatment team and start prevention measures. The division participated in the Care program.
1981
Ministry of Education valued the hospital as Grade 3 teaching hospital. The hospital started providing Endocrine disease examinations.
1980

The Hospital's Official opening. Launch of the First Medical building. Vice-President Ting Fu Wang ordered the establish of clinic services for thyroid gland & Diabetes patients.
