Dr. Chiuan-Shiou Chiou Won Best Practitioner Award at "Young Investigator Award Competition" Annual Meeting of Anesthesiologists in Taiwan

Dr. Chiuan-Shiou Chiou participated in The European Pain Federation EFIC and won the Best Poster Presentation (basic science)

Participated in the 16th Smart Medicine, Medical Quality Award Competition, completed (E-Anesthesia Integrated Care and Smart Management) System; Digitalizing pre-anesthesia evaluation form, anesthesia records, anesthesia costs. It was the 1st overall digitalization of a major medical centre. Apart from improving clinical working efficiency and promoting patient safety, it also won the 16th smart hospital group, medical quality award from the Joint Commission of Taiwan, with “Pre-anesthesia evaluation system” and “Smart Anesthesia integration system” granted patents.

The hospital participated in the JCI evaluation for the 1st time, with the Department of Anesthesiology responsible for “Sedation Care” of Anesthesia and surgical care. Achieved zero deficiencies and in 2014 was awarded Outstanding for the JCI evaluation.
