The Centre was awarded 2014 TCPI Quality Award from the Joint Commission of Taiwan.
The Centre collaborates with 17 of Taichung's hospitals in promoting THUNDER project. It was the first time that dangerous factors and probabilities were provided for sudden deaths. It is used as reference for government emergency aid platforms.

Dr. Ping-Chun Li and Dr. Kuan-Cheng Chang led the team to complete the first heart transplant in our hospital.
Since 2011, the hospital started providing loaded echocardiography examinations, with an annual increase of number of patients. Currently, the hospital sees around 1,000 cases each year, the highest in Taiwan.
