Translational research in combining with clinical and basic medicine

In addition to excellent clinical services, the department staff is also actively engaged in translational research related to clinical anesthesia. In recent years, many excellent achievements have been made, and research fields are diverse. The research achievements in recent three years are listed below:

Research studies on Anesthetic Pharmacology
PLoS One. 2017 Jan 24;12(1):e0170682.
Research studies on Pain
Anesthesiology. 2016 Oct;125(4):779-92.
Pain Physician. 2017 Feb;20(2):E269-E283.

Research studies on cardiovascular disease
Acta Cardiol Sin. 2015 Jan;31(1):33-41.
Molecules. 2016 May 5;21(5).
Development of biomedical collaboration between industry and academia

Familiar with a variety of drugs and good at using many kinds of medical materials, the anesthesiologists have the ability to develop the medical industry well. A number of physicians in the department have received training by the Spark Taiwan program, through which the department aims to create a forward-looking vision and offer necessary knowledge for biomedical fields and collaborate with the Industrial Technology Research Institute in developing a respiratory monitoring device, in the hope of developing new medical materials for anesthesia and improving the quality of clinical anesthesia care.
