中國醫藥大學附設醫院致力醫療照護之品質接軌國際，近日又榮獲HIMSS EMRAM電子病歷的最高等級認證肯定，為中台灣第一家通過HIMSS EMRAM七級電子病歷國際認証之醫學中心，更落實保障病人就醫安全，也在台灣電子病歷發展史跨越新的里程碑。

所做的評價醫療機構實施電子病歷水準的模式，它的評鑑等級是從0~7等級，以HIMSS EMRAM七級為最高等級評價，通過此級之醫療機構須在資訊安全、醫療作業閉環管理、醫療智能化管理、臨床決策系統均達到最高等級，其最終目標就是達到最高等級的病人安全就醫環境。
國際醫療信息與管理系統協會的評委，於12月4日至6日到中國醫藥大學附設醫院進行三天的評審，對醫院資訊系統建設和應用之狀況，進行全面詳實的評估，確認中國醫藥大學附設醫院達到HIMSS EMRAM七級，落實保障病患就醫安全。在所有臨床工作閉環管理，確實形成資訊化並可追溯完整的流程，也能明顯提高臨床工作人員工作效率。
根據HIMSS的標準，訊息是可以提供臨床工作的決策，中國醫藥大學附設醫院藉由數據分析達成多項指標改善及發展出臨床診斷支援系統，其中因為急診壅塞造成病人留觀超過48小時造成病人不便及可能醫療支出增加；中國附醫希望將此人數降至零的目標，經由BI(Business Intellegence商業智慧)指標監控、以改善整體急診留觀時間，將留觀超過48小時的人數下降41%。
在支援臨床決策部份，建立急性腎損傷監測系統，隨時提醒臨床醫師，經由分析病人住院前及住院中用藥，可以迅速查知病人發生急性腎損傷的嚴重度，提供臨床醫師不同的建議，進而降低進入慢性腎臟病的機會，減少國家未來相關慢性腎衰竭需接受血液透析的支出。
中國醫藥大學附設醫院周德陽院長欣慰的表示，本院通過HIMSS EMRAM七級的評鑑是一個起點，而不是終點，建設病人安全，就醫品質需不斷持續努力。數據代表無數的信息，不斷地運用資訊提供改變的契機，才是將資訊系統的價值發揮到極致，最終的受益者也是當中的醫護人員及我們照顧的病人。
周德陽院長表示，病人和家屬對於醫療品質的要求永無止境，因此，中國附醫用心營造「病人為中心」的良好就醫環境，唯有精益求精，好還要更好，才能成為民眾最信賴的健康守護者。
